London Rental Standard

Date Published 29 August 2014

On 26 May 2014, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, launched the London Rental Standard (LRS). This bold initiative is designed to raise professional standards in the capital's private rented sector by providing a consistent benchmark of accreditation for consumers. LRS is a set of standards that the Mayor expects of letting agents who operate in the private rented sector.
The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) has been appointed by the Mayor as one of the accrediting bodies for the London Rental Standard. As an organisation, we believe in maintaining the highest professional standards in the sector and have long called for more regulation of letting agents.
Direct Residential has been requested and accepted to belong to the LRS and upholds the high standards acknowledged.
